Job summary

IGNITE Practice Growth is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder / Billing Specialist in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on accurate coding, clean claims, and proactive denial management to optimize revenue cycles.

The ideal candidate has active CPC/CCS/CCA certification, at least 2 years of coding/billing experience, and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers. Proficiency with EHR and practice management software is required.

Qualifications

• Active medical coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC/CCS/CCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on medical coding and billing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Experience with electronic claims submission and denial resolution.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy.
• Proficiency with EHR and practice management software.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for services.
• Audit charges for coding accuracy, modifiers, and documentation completeness.
• Prepare, review, and submit clean claims; correct billing errors.
• Investigate denials and process timely appeals.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
