IGNITE Practice Growth | Healthcare Management Services Organization (MSO)
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Job Type: Full-Time
Certification Required: CPC, CCS, CCA, or equivalent
Accuracy Matters. So Does Getting Paid.
IGNITE Practice Growth is a growing healthcare Management Services Organization (MSO) supporting multispecialty medical practices with the infrastructure, expertise, and operational support they need to succeed.
We're looking for an experienced Certified Medical Coder / Billing Specialist who understands that accurate coding, clean claims, and consistent follow-through are essential to a successful revenue cycle.
We need someone who knows the codes, understands the billing process, catches errors before they become denials, and takes ownership of getting claims paid.
If you're detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and enjoy solving complex billing challenges, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Medical Coding: Review clinical documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for medical services and procedures.
- Charge Review: Audit charges for coding accuracy, appropriate modifiers, medical necessity, and documentation completeness.
- Claims Management: Prepare, review, and submit clean claims while identifying and correcting billing errors.
- Denial Management: Investigate rejected, denied, and underpaid claims, make corrections, and submit timely appeals.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor aging reports, prioritize outstanding balances, and follow up to secure reimbursement.
- Payment Reconciliation: Review payment postings, adjustments, and remittance information to identify discrepancies.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, coding standards, and applicable billing regulations.
- Revenue Cycle Improvement: Identify recurring coding errors, reimbursement trends, and opportunities to improve collections.
- Team Collaboration: Work with providers, clinical staff, and billing team members to resolve documentation and reimbursement issues.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Active medical coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA, such as CPC, CCS, CCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on medical coding and billing experience.
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and coding modifiers.
- Experience with electronic claims submission, denial resolution, and insurance follow-up.
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical documentation.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic surgery, spine care, interventional pain management, neurology, or multispecialty practices.
- Experience with surgical and procedural coding.
- Familiarity with personal injury, workers' compensation, and medical-legal billing.
- Experience with CareCloud or similar practice management platforms.
- Knowledge of payer reimbursement methodologies, appeals, and accounts receivable management.
What Makes You Successful Here
You're the person who notices the missing modifier before the claim goes out. You don't just identify a denial; you investigate it, resolve it, and look for ways to prevent it from happening again. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and understand how your attention to detail directly impacts the financial performance of the medical practices we support.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation based on experience and certification
- Employer-sponsored health and ancillary benefits
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
- Professional development opportunities
- A collaborative team environment where accountability and results matter
