Job description

Thank you for your interest! We're currently hiring (1) Outpatient Medical Coder and (3) Inpatient Medical Coders for a leading Hospital system on the east coast. This is an urgent need and we're looking to schedule one and done virtual interviews ASAP. Details below:

Positions:

• (1) Outpatient Medical Coder
• (3) Inpatient Medical Coders

Location:

Remote (must sit in one of the following states: MD, PA, DC, WV, VA, TX, NC, SC, TN, GA, and FL.)

Details:

• Shift: Monday-Friday
• Duration: 6-month contract with extensions likely
• Hourly Pay: $27-39/hr
• Interview Process: 1 round via Microsoft Teams

Must-have Qualifications:

• HS Degree or equivalent
• CPC, CIC, or CCS certification
• 3+ years of outpatient coding experience in a large healthcare system (observation, same day surgery, ED)
• Experience coding specifically within wound care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

Insight Global is seeking 1 Outpatient Coder to support a large healthcare system based out of Annapolis, MD. The Outpatient Medical Coder will code hospital Emergency Department and ancillary visit records for reimbursement, research, and compliance, following ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding systems.

Additional Requirements:

• HS Degree or equivalent
• Certified as CPC, CIC, or CCS
• 5+ years of coding experience in a large healthcare system
• Proficient in inpatient and outpatient coding
• Strong knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG coding (assessment required)

Additional Preferred Experience:

• Coding in L&D, Orthopedics, GI, or GYN

Inpatient Coding Support:

Insight Global is also seeking 3 Inpatient Medical Coders to support inpatient accounts, ensuring proper reimbursement, research, and compliance per ICD-10-CM/PCS standards.
