Loyola Medicine in Burr Ridge, IL, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the patient care team. The role includes direct patient care, patient registration, appointment scheduling, and a range of front- and back-office duties to keep clinic operations running smoothly.

Two evening shifts until 8:30pm and Saturday rotation are required; candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, BLS, and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required OR one year of MA experience may substitute for the program.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support as part of the patient care team.
• Handle patient registration and appointment scheduling, plus front- and back-office duties.
• Support efficient clinic operations with administrative tasks as needed.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant is an integral member of the patient care team, providing both clinical and administrative support to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient registration, appointment scheduling, and a variety of front and back-office functions that support efficient clinic operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR a minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience may be substituted for program completion.

2 evening shifts until 830pm

Saturday rotation

Must need to be experienced with the following:

Blood Draws, completing Prior Authorizations, Referrals, and medication refills

Certification Requirement

Candidates must provide one of the following within six (6) months of hire

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

Compensation

Pay Range: $20.05 - $28.14 per hour
