Job summary

HVHS Brand is seeking a Full-time Certified Medical Assistant to work in various HVMG Physician Offices and ConvenientCare locations. Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting vital signs, and performing various clinical tasks including injections and administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, current Medical Assistant certification, and at least 2-3 years of experience in a primary care setting. A flexible schedule is required as the role may involve travel and varying office settings.

Qualifications

Description

Location: Various HVMG Physician Offices, ConvenientCare, HV Pediatrics
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, varying daylight hours. ConvenientCare may require weekends and/or holidays.

Rooms patients, collects vital signs, review patient medication list and patient medical/social history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
• Current CPR certification
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical practice
• Minimum of 2–3 years of recent experience in a primary care physician office setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in varying office settings with minimal notice
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

PREFERRED

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
• Pediatrics experience strongly preferred
