Job summary

Heart & Vascular Center Beaver in Beaver, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting providers with injections and basic lab work.

The role requires a Medical Assistant Certification and CPR, plus high school completion; there is emphasis on completing required clearances within 90 days of employment. Location is on-site in Beaver.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA).
• CPR Certification.
• Computer experience.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests.
• Administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks.
• Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

Office location: Heart and Vascular Center 605 Sharon Road Beaver, PA 15009
Work hours: Monday - Friday daylight, no weekends, no major holidays

Required

Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA), CPR Certification, Computer experience, Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of one year medical assisting experience. Proficient in venipuncture.
