Job summary

Wilson Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our busy general surgery practice in North Carolina. You will work under physician or nurse supervision to perform patient assessments, basic diagnostics, and administrative tasks, contributing to high-quality care.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited medical assisting program, and CCMA/CMA/RMA license. BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
• License: CCMA, CMA or RMA
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitor and communicate changes in patient condition; document care.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies; reorder, stock, clean, and troubleshoot; maintain examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
