Job summary

Join Duke Health Integrated Practice in Cary, NC as a Certified Medical Assistant in the Piedmont Spine Specialists group. The CMA provides direct patient care and supports the interdisciplinary health team to keep the clinic running smoothly.

The role includes administrative duties such as scheduling, intake, documentation, and billing support, with day shifts Monday–Friday and no weekends. Certification (CMA) and BLS are required; Level I indicates no experience needed.

Qualifications

• Certification in CMA per the listed credentials is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Note: 1 year of experience can be provided for an Associate degree in Medical Assisting.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities: take medical histories, record vital signs, assist with examinations and procedures.
• Patient care support: assist medical and nursing staff, collect specimens, perform basic lab tests, and document in patient records.
• Administrative duties: greet patients, schedule, check out, file records, and handle billing and referrals.
• Liaison duties for clinic activities or committees as needed.
