Job summary

Encompass Medical Group in Grandview, MO seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time float position at Hickman Mills clinic. Hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The MA will prioritize daily workflow, support physicians, handle exams, dosing and immunizations, and assist with lab tests while maintaining EMR documentation and patient confidentiality. The role requires active CMA certification, a certificate or training as a Medical Assistant, and willingness to travel among

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certifiable Medical Assistant program or equivalent training required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification from a recognized body required.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize daily workflow to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Interact courteously with physicians, receptionists and staff; maintain confidentiality in EMR documentation.
• Administer exams and procedures (EKG, vitals, immunizations, dressings) and assist with lab tests.
• Coordinate care with outside consultants; facilitate prior authorizations and referrals as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms and supply inventory; ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist providers during exams; anticipate equipment needs and manage patient movement.
• Maintain knowledge of GE Centricity and related indexing for accurate records.
