Job summary

CAN Community Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) I to join our Florida clinic.

This full-time day shift position includes phlebotomy, patient intake, vital signs, and immunizations to support care for individuals affected by HIV, Hepatitis C, and other infectious diseases. Offer includes a sign-on bonus through August 31, 2026, competitive pay, PTO, holidays, tuition reimbursement, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) required or ability to achieve within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists front desk operations and performs phlebotomy.
• Performs vital signs and collects medical history.
• Documents symptoms, treatments, and changes in patient conditions.
• Administers immunizations as directed by the physician.
• Handles patient payments, co-pays, and insurance verification at check-in.
