Job summary

Mount Nittany Health Express Care in State College, PA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers in a fast-paced setting. The role involves patient prep, injections, tests, and front-desk duties.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of office/patient care experience. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered and travel to other offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment including taking patient histories, vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Assist provider with various tests and procedures.
• Administer non-controlled prescribed injections and medications, observe reactions and document in the patient’s file.
• Perform and document tests and procedures including EKGs, audiometry, glucose testing and holter monitoring.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Prepare, sterilize and maintain supplies and equipment for patient treatments.
• Answer and return calls and manage messages per provider instructions.
• Assist with scheduling referrals, appointments, testing and admissions to other facilities.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and other duties as required.
