Job summary

SRMH Medical Group in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant - Resource Pool. The role is full-time, with a 40-hour week and start times between 7 AM and 8 AM. Mileage reimbursement is provided and a $5,000 sign-on bonus may be available for qualified candidates.

The CMA will perform patient care and administrative tasks under supervision, supporting about 10 primary care clinics. A float schedule is provided a month in advance.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following on the first day of employment: CMA, RMA, CCMA, EMT (EMT-B)
• BLS within 90 days of hire date

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under supervision of Physician, NP/PA, RN or LPN.
• Supports approximately 10 Primary Care clinics and participates in float scheduling

Overview

The CERTIFIED Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

Less than a year of related experience required

Phlebotomy experience highly preferred

Education

High School Diploma OR equivalency required

Certification

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
