Sentara Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant – Resource Pool in Harrisonburg, VA. This full-time role supports about 10 Primary Care clinics with a floating schedule; start times vary from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. A sign-on bonus up to $5,000 is available for qualified candidates.

The CMA performs patient care and administrative tasks under supervision, with mileage reimbursement and a comprehensive benefits package. BLS required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Must have one of the following on the first day of employment: CMA, RMA, CCMA, EMT (EMT-B).
• BLS within 90 days of hire date.
• Less than a year of related experience is required.
• Phlebotomy experience highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• The CERTIFIED Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under the direction of physicians and other providers.
• Supports daily clinic operations, patient flow, and charting to ensure accurate and efficient care.

Job Summary

• Full-time, Monday through Friday / 40 hours per week
• Start time varies between 7AM and 8AM
• Mileage reimbursement provided
• Supports approximately 10 Primary Care clinics
• Float schedule provided a month in advance

Overview

The CERTIFIED Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

• Less than a year of related experience _ required _
• Phlebotomy experience highly preferred

Education

• High School Diploma OR equivalency _ required _

Certification

Must have one of the following on the first day of employment:

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Registered Medical Assistant
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
• Certified EMT (EMT-B)

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
