Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Colonial Heights Internal Medicine practice. You will work closely with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and maintain accurate health records in accordance with state guidelines.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, preparing charts, measuring vital signs, performing clerical duties, and supporting smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred.
• 2 years of clerical experience in a physician’s office preferred.
• MA certifications or ABR-OE acceptable if MA certification not obtainable (not SC).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare & review patient charts and verify diagnostic test results.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phone coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
