Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care at our Home Location in Cumming, GA. You will welcome patients, prepare them for appointments, and communicate clearly about services provided.

Responsibilities include performing point-of-care tests, EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs gathering, and assiting with medications as directed by the Provider. A current Nationally Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Nationally Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (NHA, AAMA, AMT, AMCA, NAHP, NCCT, or AAH).
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs point-of-care tests, EKGs, suture/staple removal, dressings, and other patient care activities.
• Collects and documents vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed.
• Prepares patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or exams.
• Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens.
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
