Job summary

Kaniksu Community Health in Bonners Ferry, Idaho seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our patient-centered team. As part of the PCMH model, you will prepare exam rooms, record patient histories, take vitals, and assist Providers with procedures in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

We value a CMA credential, 3–5 years of primary care experience, strong computer skills (AthenaHealth), and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical and/or nursing assistant program with a CMA credential.
• 3-5 years of experience in a primary care setting preferred.
• Demonstrates accuracy and professionalism in medical record documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and instruments for procedures; restock rooms and maintain inventory.
• Room patients, record reason for visit and chief complaints.
• Take and record vital signs and administer screening tests.
• Assist Providers with patient care tasks and procedures (e.g., pap tests, dressings).
• Prepare patient records for referrals and coordinate information with other providers.
• Distribute patient education materials and facilitate integrated care with other KCH services.
