Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support in-office clinical duties and care coordination in a primary care setting. You will work with providers to room patients, collect histories, and perform essential procedures in a team-based environment.

Ideal candidates have CMA certification and 2+ years of outpatient experience, with strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.

Qualifications

• CMA certification is required (documentation is requested during application).
• Two years MA experience preferred.
• Primary care or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology.
• Experience with team-based care models.
• Care coordination or case management experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain medical history and vitals.
• Assist with injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and basic wound care.
• Administer medications per provider protocol.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups; support chronic disease management.
• Assist with prior authorizations and care gaps closure.
• Collaborate with the extended care team to improve outcomes.
