Job summary

Ascension Medical Group in Skiatook, OK, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to greet patients, take vital signs, and support clinicians. You will document encounters, ensure accurate records, and keep exam rooms ready with needed supplies in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, prepare them for examinations, obtain vital signs, and assist providers during clinical treatments.
• Document symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, and order transcriptions in real time to keep medical records accurate.
• Maintain exam room readiness and ensure essential clinical supplies are stocked for efficient treatments.
• Handle essential administrative tasks, manage incoming communications, and organize patient data to support smooth clinic operations.

• Schedule: Full-time days, Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver personalized patient care by greeting individuals warmly, preparing them for examinations, obtaining accurate vital signs, and assisting providers during clinical treatments.
• Streamline the patient-provider encounter through real-time documentation of symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, and order transcriptions to ensure complete, high-quality medical records.
• Optimize exam room readiness by maintaining immaculate care spaces, ensuring essential clinical supplies are fully stocked and accessible for efficient treatments.
• Support seamless clinic operations by handling essential administrative tasks, managing incoming communications, and keeping patient data organized to maintain a stress‑free care journey.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable

Additional Preferences:

• Prior CMA experience preferred
• MA Certification and/or Registration in good standing through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA
• Must either be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or in school currently to obtain your CMA/RMA
