Job summary

Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Brownsburg, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care team. You will assist providers with exams, record vital signs, document histories, transcribe orders, and support daily clinic operations in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant credential, and BLS by within 30 days of hire. A year of related experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required or 1 year of related experience.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Medical Assistant credential obtained prior to hire; licensure relevant to state where work is performed.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures while maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and accurately record medical histories in patient charts to streamline clinic workflow.
• Transcribe provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring diagnoses and follow-up instructions are documented precisely.
• Manage administrative duties including medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory to ensure seamless clinic operations.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
