UNC Health Hickory Med Park is seeking a Medical Assistant I, Certified to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic. The primary role is phlebotomy, with duties including rooming, vital signs, data collection, and assisting providers during procedures.

Requires Medical Assistant certification by a recognized body or strong clinical experience; BLS may be required. On-site, 40-hour work week, day schedule, with competitive pay.

Formación

• Must be able to assist in phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Experience with basic patient data collection and vital signs is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant credentials required or with strong clinical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Room and intake processing, record vital signs, height/weight, and reason for visit.
• Collect patient data, med lists, allergies, and pharmacy preferences.
• Assist provider during treatments and procedures as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens under supervision.
• Administer medications under provider direction; assist with tests (EKG, eye exams).
• Prepare, stock, and sterilize exam rooms; ensure supplies available.
• Register patients, schedule appointments/tests, and handle referrals.
• Answer clinic calls and support nursing staff as directed.
