Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) in New Jersey is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our Primary Care team across four sites: Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, and Keyport.

You will assist providers, engage with patients, and help ensure smooth, efficient visits while upholding our mission-driven care. A Medical Assistant certificate and NJ driver’s license are required, with preferred 6 months of MA experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school
• 6 month+ of supervised medical assistant experience preferred
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy
• CPR certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s license and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
• Assists provider with patient workflow and maintaining clinical records
• Executes order and performs related duties as ordered according to standard operating procedure
• Maintains laboratory proficiency and required log books and records
• Assists in coordination, management and documentation of medications, supplies and referrals
• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
• Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling andcritical prenatal care.

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.
