Responsibilities

• Complete procedural tasks including administering medications per protocol and provider orders, assisting with clinic procedures, EKGs, Holter monitors, and billing nursing procedures.
• Monitor and maintain environment of care, including equipment and materials.
• Document in the electronic health record and perform administrative tasks as mentioned above.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking aMedical Assistant, Certified (CMA/RMA) in our Duke Children\'s Specialty Services Clinic located inGreensboro, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform patient intake including: obtaining vital signs (including manual blood pressures), administering survey tools, data collection, education screens, assisting patients with ambulation/toileting, reviewing patient medications, assisting patients with preparing questions for provider visit.
• Completing procedural tasks including: administering medications according to protocols and provider orders, assisting with clinic-performed procedures, EKGs, place Holter monitors), reviewing pre-printed material with patient/family, bill for nursing procedures.
• Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care, including equipment and material resources.
• Documentation in electronic health record. Performing administrative tasks as mentioned above.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant programaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
• High school or GED graduation required.
• Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.
• BLS required
