Job summary

Duke Health Integrated Practice is hiring a Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA/RMA) for the Duke Children's Specialty Services Clinic in Greensboro, NC. You will be part of a healthcare team offering direct and indirect patient care.

The role involves patient intake, assisting with procedures, EKGs, monitoring equipment, and EHR documentation. Strong MA program completion and BLS are required; certification by AAMA/AMT/NHA-CCMA/NCMA/ARMA is expected.

Qualifications

• High school or GED graduation required.

• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinic procedures, EKGs, holter placement, and nursing documentation.
• Monitor environment and maintain care equipment and materials.
• Document in the electronic health record and perform administrative tasks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA/RMA) in our Duke Children's Specialty Services Clinic located in Greensboro , NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake including: obtaining vital signs (including manual blood pressures), administering survey tools, data collection, education screens, assisting patients with ambulation/toileting, reviewing patient medications, assisting patients with preparing questions for provider visit.
• Completing procedural tasks including: administering medications according to protocols and provider orders, assisting with clinic-performed procedures, EKGs, place Holter monitors), reviewing pre-printed material with patient/family, bill for nursing procedures.
• Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care, including equipment and material resources.
• Documentation in electronic health record. Performing administrative tasks as mentioned above.

Job Eligibility Requirements

• Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
• High school or GED graduation required.
• Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.
• BLS required
