US Pediatric Partners in Charleston, SC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high‑quality patient care. You will escort patients, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms and assist during patient exams.

Requirements include active RMA/CMA and CPR certification, pediatric practice experience preferred, and familiarity with EMR systems; strong communication, independence, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

Active RMA/CMA certification required.
CPR certification required.
Experience in a pediatric medical practice preferred.
Working knowledge of computer applications; EMR experience preferred.
Ability to speak, read and write effectively.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Detail-oriented with strong decision-making and time management.

Responsabilités

Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs and document all information in patient’s chart.
Instruct patients about medications and special diets as instructed by the medical provider.
Explain treatment procedures to patients.
Prepare patients for examination and assist the physician during exams.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform basic laboratory tests.
Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
Maintain logs and required checks (e.g., refrigerator temps, emergency medications, expired meds, oxygen, sterilization fluids).
Process messages from patients and front office staff to providers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
