Job summary

ProMedica Pediatric Wellness Pavilion seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to work within the Development Behavioral Pediatric Practice. The role focuses on patient preparation, vital signs, and coordination with providers to deliver high-quality clinical care.

You will communicate with patients, families, and health care team, handle messages for providers, and serve as a leadership resource for MA and Patient Service Coordinator teams. 40 hours weekly, days shift, full-time.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; completed MA program or one year experience as MA.
• Experience in medical setting with patient care or related roles; continuing healthcare education considered.
• Registration/certification as Medical Assistant or active LPN/RN license; BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by taking and documenting vital signs and performing basic tests.
• Serve as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinators; interact with patients and health care team.
• Communicate patient information to providers and respond to inquiries while following clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
