Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join an interdisciplinary health team delivering direct patient care and supporting clinic operations.

The CMA will perform history taking, vital signs, patient preparation for exams, and assist clinicians while handling administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic workflow. Schedule is 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Graduation from CMA program or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to document and communicate pertinent information.
• Understanding of clinical and clerical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and record vital signs.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist medical and nursing staff during examinations and procedures.
• Handle administrative duties: scheduling, billing, and records.
