RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers and enhance patient care at the Barnabas Health Medical Group. You will help prepare patients, assist during exams, and document care in the EMR to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, attention to detail, and teamwork, with a typical Monday–Friday day schedule and ongoing opportunities for professional development within a supportive health system.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA credential (AAMA/AECA/AMCA/AMT/NAHP/NCCT/NCMA/NHA).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year Medical Office CMA experience; Epic EMR knowledge preferred.

Responsabilités

• Preparing patients for examinations: vital signs, histories, comfort and information.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform injections, collect specimens, point-of-care testing.
• Document patient information and test results in EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow: prep rooms, supplies, appointment efficiency.
• Provide patient education on meds, plans, and follow-ups.
• Schedule appointments and handle referrals with care team.
• Contribute to a collaborative, professional, patient‑centered environment.
