• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• AAMA or AMT Medical Assistant certification preferred upon hire and required within six months of hire date.
• Maintains BCLS certification.
• Competency with basic patient care tasks across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient intake and discharge under supervision and documents in the medical record (paper and EMR).
• Performs tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, ECG, and phlebotomy as authorized.
• Assists providers with procedures and responds to emergencies.
• Communicates patient information to the physician/NP/RN and documents in medical records.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates professional guest relations.
