Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to work daytime shifts in a fast-paced clinical setting. Under physician supervision, you will prepare patients for visits, record vital signs, escort patients to exam rooms, and assist with examinations and procedures.

You will handle in-office testing, specimen processing, and maintain clean, safe exam rooms while supporting third-party form completion and admissions coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• CMA, RMA, CCMA or NCMA certification within 6 months from date of hire is required; listed providers include AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT.
• Two years of clinical experience or an equivalent education/experience mix preferred.
• Formal education in medical terminology and anatomy & physiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for office visit and ensures medical records are complete with reports and forms.
• Obtains patient vital signs and chief complaint; assists with gowning as needed.
• Assists physicians/providers with examinations or procedures and with in-office testing.
• Processes specimens per established protocols and documents care in the EHR.
• Maintains exam rooms, equipment, and supply levels; ensures safety and sanitation.
