Job summary

Summit Medical Group in Morristown, TN, is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our office team in a full-time role from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The caregiver will escort patients, record vital signs, assist with procedures (phlebotomy, injections, EKGs), and support physicians with patient education and care. Medical records prep and triage duties are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA or LPN certification required.
• At least six months of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for examinations and procedures.
• Record vital signs (pulse, BP, height, weight).
• Assist with procedures (phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors).
• Assist physicians with procedures and patient education.
• Handle phone triage, pre-certifications, referrals, and prescriptions.
• Perform clerical duties and communicate test results to patients as needed.
• Prepare patient records for physicians and schedule appointments as required.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and work areas daily.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and corporate policies and site protocols.
