Job summary

Summit Medical Group at Newport is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or LPN to join our Newport, Tennessee office. This full-time, on-site role supports physicians and mid-level providers with clinical tasks and patient care.

You will escort patients, record vitals, assist with procedures such as phlebotomy, injections and EKGs, triage calls, and manage patient records and appointments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification or LPN TN license required.
• Six months experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
• On-site, full-time position with healthcare responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares them for examinations and procedures.
• Records vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, height and weight.
• Performs phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and holter monitor procedures.
• Assists physicians with procedures and administers medications as directed.
• Handles triage, pre-certifications, referrals, and calls in prescriptions.
• Maintains patient records, schedules appointments and keeps exam rooms clean.
• Adheres to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and site policies.
