Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support a Vascular Surgery clinic in Lancaster, PA. The role involves rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth front-office operations.

The position requires CPR, Certified Medical Assistant credentials, high school diploma, and at least 1 year of MA experience in a clinical setting. Travel to regional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ years Medical Assistant experience in a primary or specialty care physician’s office is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (Required)

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for visit by using appropriate rooming standards tool.
• Administers injections, as prescribed by provider and in accordance with practice protocol.
• Prepares and administers medications as prescribed by the provider and in accordance with regulations.
• Prepares and assists providers with procedures, minor surgeries and exams.
• Performs Point of Care Testing (e.g., hearing, flu, urine, strep).
• Removes sutures and changes dressings as needed.
• Handles patient information confidentially according to policy.
