Penn Medicine in Lancaster, PA seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in a physician office under the supervision of a provider or licensed nurse. The role supports patients across pediatric to geriatric ages and assists with rooming, history taking, vital signs, and care coordination.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, performing tests (EKGs, vision and hearing screenings, phlebotomy), and handling front-office tasks (scheduling, check-in/out, registrations).

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant degree or certificate is required or preferred.
• CNA certification or prior related hospital/office experience is preferred.
• 1–2 years of clinical office experience is preferred.

Mansioni

• Greets and guides patients to exam rooms and prepares them for visits.
• Verifies patient information and documents medical history and visits.
• Prepares patients for exams by recording vitals and basic details.
• Assists providers with procedures and minor surgeries.
• Performs tests such as hearing tests, EKGs, vision screenings, and phlebotomy.
• Handles front-office tasks including scheduling, check-in/out, and registrations.
• Keeps exam rooms stocked and clean and maintains equipment.
• Participates in care coordination and performance improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to privacy policies and Lancaster General Health guidelines.

Formazione

High School Diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant degree or certificate

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Previous work experience as Medical Assistant or Patient Care Assistant
