Job summary

Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Highland Family Health Center team. The role focuses on delivering outstanding patient care while efficiently managing administrative tasks inside the medical office.

You will answer phones, chart accurately, use medical terminology, assist physicians during exams, and demonstrate skills in bandaging, first aid, venipuncture, and specimen collection in a supportive rural health environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant Education program.
• Certified or Registered MA or equivalent credential.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones in a timely, professional manner.
• Forward calls or take detailed messages as appropriate.
• Demonstrate proper and accurate charting of patients and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Cooperatively assist doctor with office exams and procedures.
• Demonstrate bandaging skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic first aid.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens as needed.
