Job summary

Duly Health and Care LaGrange is seeking a Medical Assistant to welcome patients, help with registration and scheduling, and record vital signs and health history. You will support physicians during examinations and basic procedures, and ensure clean and welcoming exam rooms.

You may perform on-site lab tests (EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, urine pregnancy), assist with immunizations, and handle prescription requests while delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience.
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Assist with immunizations or injections as needed.
• Onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms and provide excellent customer service.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Medical Assistant program or healthcare-related coursework

Phlebotomy certification within 90 days (if applicable)
