Qualifications

Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
BLS certification required (AHA) or to obtain within required timeframe.
Certified or registered CMA/RMA or equivalent certification may be required per location.

Responsibilities

Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
Performs rooming/visit tasks including vitals, history, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
Assists provider with procedures and may perform POCT and CLIA-waived tests.
Administers medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
Handles referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging.
Maintains a clean, stocked work environment and trains teammates as needed.
