Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians, manage patient flow, and maintain high-quality patient care. The CMA will perform clinical tasks, document in EMR, and assist with procedures while ensuring infection control and patient satisfaction.

This role is located at 5 Plainsboro Rd, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Qualified candidates have a CMA credential and 2+ years in healthcare, with a HS diploma or GED and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• CMA credentials required (MA-AAMA / MA-AMT / MA-NCCT / MA-NHA).
• H.S. Diploma/GED is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, doctor’s office experience, and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Room patients promptly and notify the provider that the patient is ready using EMR.
• Take and document vital signs; note corrections and manage medications/refills as directed.
• Perform EKGs and outpatient screening tests as ordered, and document results in EMR.
• Assist with minor procedures, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile field.
• Ensure infection control, safe environment, and proper instrument care and storage.
