Job summary

Marana Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Medical team at the Marana Main Health Center in Marana, AZ. The CMA will support clinicians and staff to promote patient health and deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ABHES/CAAHEP MA program completion or equivalent, CMA/RMA certification, EMR experience, BLS, and a valid Arizona driver’s license with clean MVR. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Current CMA or RMA certification from an accredited organization.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• BLS certification (may be completed with MH upon hire).
• Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona DPS.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists the clinician with patient care, examinations, and procedures.
• Completes daily operational tasks within the patient care area.
• Obtains and documents proper patient consent prior to treatments and procedures.
• Identifies patient needs by establishing rapport and considering cultural and age-specific needs.
• Measures and records vital signs and documents medical history and preventive criteria.
• Performs tests ordered by the clinician (EKG, spirometry, breathing treatments, injections).
• Provides patient instructions as directed and maintains documentation of patient care.
