Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join Haywood Women's Care. The role supports providers with patient assessments, basic diagnostics, and documentation in a busy clinic setting.

Under supervision, you will manage exam rooms, equipment, and supplies, while also performing administrative tasks such as scheduling and data entry. AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Current state certification as certified or registered medical assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision of provider.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitor patient condition.
• Document patient care and maintain examination areas.
• Stock and clean equipment, manage supplies, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Handle administrative duties: filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, patient registration.
