Job summary

Mountain Medical Associates in Clyde, NC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join Haywood Regional Medical Center’s network. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, supporting providers with patient assessments, routine procedures, and administrative duties within a multispecialty clinic.

You’ll be part of a healthcare team that includes 9 physicians, 2 PAs, and a nurse practitioner, with benefits, growth opportunities, and ongoing training. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must manage in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient assessments and treatments under provider supervision.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors condition changes.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Maintains examination areas and equipment; stocks, cleans, troubleshoots.
• Executes administrative tasks including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
• Completes other delegated tasks within the practice scope.
