Job summary

Covenant Health Ministry is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support patient examinations, document vital signs, and assist care teams in a fast-paced clinic. The role emphasizes accurate EMR input, patient communication, and efficient scheduling of tests and procedures.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, hold national certification, and possess BLS/CPR with AED certification within 3 months of hire. Two years of MA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Certification/Registration through AAMA/AMT/NCCT or NHA required.
• BLS/CPR and AED certification required within 3 months of hire.
• 2+ years Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work to expedite patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for examination/visit and documents vital signs.
• Assists providers with examinations and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and tests; pre-certifications where needed.
• Performs venipuncture, injections per orders.
• Preloads patient history in EMR and maintains chart accuracy.
• Completes QA/QC for tests and equipment.
• Screens calls and triages patient concerns; communicates with providers.
