Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Certification/Registration required (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA).
• BLS/CPR/AED certification required within 3 months of hire date.
• 2+ years Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for examination/visit and documentation.
• Obtain and document vital signs and reason for visit.
• Prepare patient chart for provider and review medical history.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and patient education.
• Administer injections, venipuncture, and vaccines per protocol.
• Schedule tests and appointments; handle referrals and pre-certifications.
• Preload patient history in EMR and manage test results communications.
