Job summary

CommonSpirit Medical Group - Family Medicine - LaFayette is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support care teams in screening, procedures, education, and care coordination. You will collect vitals, assist with procedures, and ensure patient comfort while addressing questions with empathy.

The role requires CMA certification (AAMA/NHA/NCCT/NAHP/AMT) and CPR. Prior MA experience and EHR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Professional CMA certification required upon hire (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, AMT or other) and CPR within 30 days.
• Two years MA experience and/or CMA course preferred, EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient safety and privacy.
• Perform general patient care per standards.
• Greet and prep patients for providers.
• Obtain and record vitals and presenting problem.
• May draw blood and prepare specimens.
• Administer prescribed medications and vaccines as directed.
