Qualifications

• ABHES/CAAHEP accredited medical assistant program.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification or eligible.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data and prepares patient according to specific need.
• Assists in examination, treatment and other clinic procedures.
• Assists with laboratory procedures, screening tests and QI projects.
• Answers telephone and triage or directs caller to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules appointments and enters appointment date/time into scheduler.
• Conducts reminder calls to patients.
• Registers patients with up-to-date records and accurate charts.
• Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance/physician offices.
• Collects payment and issues receipts.
• Maintains patient charts and orders supplies.
