Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the primary care team at Lourdes Hospital. The MA will review patient charts, measure vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

Requires active CMA/RMA/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA or ABR-OE certification and a High School degree. BLS is required at hire in some locations; 1–2 years of related experience is preferred. Excellent communication and patient-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA or ABR-OE.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required at hire for some locations.
• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience is preferred.
• Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Review and update patient charts by verifying diagnostic tests and records.
• Measure vital signs including pulse, respiration, BP, weight, and height.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory and tracking referrals; answer phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly; perform other duties as assigned.
