Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA certification or equivalent (AAMA/NCCT) required or preferred.
• CCMA/NHA or NRCMA/NAHP/ARMA certifications accepted.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect chief complaint and medical history information.
• Perform telephone communications with patients, families, pharmacies, and facilities.
• Update and maintain patient information via telephone and EMR.
• Handle check-in/check-out, authorizations, scheduling, verifications, referrals and testing coordination.
• Perform point-of-care testing and related documentation.
• Assist with clinical procedures including catheters, bladder scans, sutures, injections, TB tests, and more.
• Provide patients with instructions, education materials, and medication guidance.
• Administer medications as ordered and process refills per protocol.
