Qualifications

• 1 year Medical assistant preferred.
• 2-4 years Clerical/customer service experience - ideally in a health care related industry preferred.
• 1 year Experience with third party payors and data entry in electronic records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Register patients and collect demographic information.
• Enter patient data, charges, and payments in the electronic medical record.
• Perform cashiering for co-pays and payments.
• Perform venipuncture and administer routine medications under physician supervision.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens and perform basic lab procedures.
• Take patient vital signs and ensure aseptic technique.
