Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the St. Charles Medical Office Building. You will work with the primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care, review and update health records, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, chart reviews, vital signs, and clerical tasks to support smooth clinic operation. The role requires a High School degree or GED, and active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or ABR-OE

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or ABR-OE acceptable prior to independent patient care.
• 1 year medical assistant experience preferred; clerical work in a physician’s office encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with respectful customer service.
• Review and update patient charts; verify diagnostic test results and hospital reports.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, stock, referrals, phones as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
