Job summary

Mercy St. Louis is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work under the direction of the primary care operations team, providing safe, timely, and patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with providers and the care team to improve quality outcomes and close care gaps, aligned with Mercy’s mission and service standards. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of MA competencies, and active MA certification, with BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Must have completed all MA Competencies.
• Caregivers must actively maintain their certification, or they will be transitioned to the Medical Assistant title.
• Caregivers can be hired as a Certified Medical Assistant if they are a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.
• For Hospital Outpatient Departments: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, effective, and patient-centered care under the direction of primary care providers.
• Partner with patients, providers, and the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes.
• Perform duties in accordance with Mercy mission, values, and service standards.
• Complete Advanced Standard Rooming with a focus on patient experience and care gaps.
