Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana seeks a Medical Assistant to perform clerical and patient care duties under supervision. You will assist physicians, greet patients, handle calls, admit and discharge, and support data entry, ensuring accurate records.

The role requires a CMA or CMA eligible with a high school diploma, prior medical office experience, and good Spanish language skills being desirable. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 17 years of age.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) via exam or approved two-year program.
• Previous medical office experience.
• Spanish language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with medical care and patient procedures.
• Answer phones, schedule and admit/discharge patients, and enter data.
• Record medical history and prepare patient for examinations.
• Perform routine lab tests and EKGs as ordered.
• Administer and document medications and injections as directed.
• Maintain patient charts and EMR data; manage supplies.
• Coordinate hospital admissions and outpatient studies with nursing staff.
